A time for character growth

So many changes to go through and so much self-doubt. Relationships reign supreme – but can also break our spirit if things don’t go the way we want.

Larger school environments and academic responsibilities sometimes leave character-building behind, opening the door to anxiety, behavior, mood, and substance disorders.

A Place for Greatness in middle school years focus on seeing ourselves and others in a positive light.

The activities in this age group seek to promote:

  • Personal Growth: Reflection and self-awareness, value clarification, numbers in life, and growth mindset.
  • Communication: Interpersonal communications, body language, questioning and listening techniques, and gender and other biases.
  • Cooperation with others: Trust-building, manager versus builder roles, and diversity.
  • Community building: Inclusion, problem-solving, network-building, fairness, and adaptability.
